TriActive Laser Therapy: Should You Use It?

The skin condition known as cellulite is extremely common and affects a majority of women after the age of 30. Despite common belief, it isn’t caused by fat. Instead, the root of the problem is found in the stringy bands of tissues that bring the fat together. As women age, this tissue becomes hard and pulls down the on the skin causing the lumpy skin appearance. TriActive uses diode lasers to help soften up the stringy tissue. Mechanical massage is also utilized to increase blood circulation and assist in the removal of built up fluids. A single treatment on a TriActive machine will set you back $100 and you will need up to sixteen sessions to see the best gains.

The main disadvantage of cellulite laser treatment is that any results will not last. TriActive results only last for 4 weeks before the cellulite beings to reappear. In order to keep the cellulite away, you will need to continue the treatments at a rate of about one per month. Many women find that this continued treatment is worth the monthly cost.

The main advantage is that the treatment is non-invasive and you are able to return to your daily schedule immediately after a session. This is in contrast to plastic surgery which will require lengthy recovery periods and has potential risks. The costs of cosmetic surgery and laser therapy are roughly the same.
